GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
Stourport ladies 1st XI maintained their third place in the Midland
Division 1 last weekend with a thumping 5-2 victory over visitors
North Staffs 1st XI.
Stourport took the lead when some good build up play resulted in the
home side's Rene Johnson tore through the Staffs defence and put the
ball into the top corner of the goal. Stourport had to be on the ball
though, and their defence especially keeper Sally Smith produced a good
performance. Despite this Stourport, found themselves back on level
terms when they conceded a short corner, which their visitors coolly
converted. Stourport were still keeping possession and passed the ball
around well and when Jodi Vincent took the ball into the oppositions
'D'; she used her reverse stick to shoot the home side back into the
lead. But, once again their visitors came back at them and leveled the
scores before the break, and again it was from a short corner.
A positive half time talk meant that Stourport stepped up their game
in the second half, making solid passes and quick play around the
pitch, the home side then retook the lead, and this time they weren't't
going to lose it, when Kate Miller converted a short corner. Stourport'
s aggressive play finally became to strong for the North Staffs defence
which conceded another short corner which Sarah Cavendish duly
dispatched into the goal. Then moments later the visiting defence
conceded another short and once again up stepped Cavendish to put the
match beyond the reach of their visitors, although North Staffs did put
their hosts under pressure towards the of the match Stourport weren't
to moved and points were going to stay firmly at The Kingsway.

Stourport with some good passing play around the pitch took the lead
through Hannah Goss and after some great individual skill from Suzanne

Stourport's second. The visitor's did come forward but all their
attacking play was broken down by a solid home defence.
Stourport began the second half well with a great individual effort
from Liz Cooke, which saw her calmly smash the ball over the keeper.
Stourport were stretching away from their visitor's and added a fourth

OPPOSITION: Kettering 2nd XI.
VENUE: Away.
HALF TIME: 0-1.
FULL TIME SCORE: 3-2.
STOURPORT SCORERS: Caroline Sidell (2).
Chloe Marshall –
Walker.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
Stourport ladies 2nd XI fraught back twice in their Midland
Conference South match against Kettering last week, finally beating
their hosts 3-2.
Stourport despite having a lot of the pressure in the first half were
unable to create any substantial chances in the opening period, and to
make matters worse for the visitors, Kettering took the lead from open
play after twenty minutes of the half, a lead which they were to take
into the break.
But this was tough competitive match with Stourport scoring within ten
minutes of the re start, leveling the scores with a Caroline Sidell
goal from a short corner. Stourport still had some defending to do,
with Olivia Laight in particular doing well at the back for the
visitors. But, Kettering, two places and two points behind Stourport
in the table, wanted the points as well, and five minutes after
Stourport had equalised the home side went ahead again. The visitors
equalised for the second time in match with just ten minutes remaining
on the clock, when Chloe Marshall – Walker tapped in a Sidell shot.
Into the final five Stourport stepped up their pace, and went for
broke, and scored the winner when Shelley Tromans pushed the ball right
to Stourport's player of the match Holly Lashford, who set up Sidell to
slip the ball into the goal, and steal the three points from under the
noses of Kettering in what had been a competitive and physical match.

TEAM: Stourport 3rd XI.
OPPOSITION: Bromsgrove 2nd XI.
VENUE: Away.
HALF TIME: 0-4.
FULL TIME SCORE: 2-6.
STOURPORT SCORERS: Rhiannon Linnington-Payne.
Georgi Linnington-Payne.
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
Stourport ladies 3rd XI lost their unbeaten record in the
Worcestershire 2nd Division, when they were beaten 6-2, by last
weekends hosts Bromsgrove 2nd's. To add insult to injury for the
visitors the result meant that Bromsgrove leaped forged Stourport and
now lead the table by a single point.
Stourport effectively lost this match in the opening thirty five
minutes, as the visitors struggled to match a Bromsgrove side who took
the lead as early as the fifth minute. By the time the half time
whistle had blown, things had got worse for the visitors in fact it was
three goals worse as Stourport found themselves 4-0 down at the break.
A rejuvenated Stourport side took to the field in the second half,
dominating proceedings and pulling a goal back three minutes after the
re start, through Stourport's player of the match, a title she shared
with Alison Baron, Rhiannon Linnington-Payne . If the goal was to
spark a fight back then the spark was quickly extinguished, as
Bromsgrove scored a fifth a minute later. The visitors weren't
deterred though, the majority of the possession still belonged with
Stourport, but for all of their possession, and all the short corners
they were awarded they must'must've't't score. Bromsgrove on the other
hand could, and added a sixth before Georgi Linnington-Payne pulled
another goal back for the visitors, fifteen minutes from time. But, it
was all to little too late, as far as Stourport were concerned, as the
league leaders saw their unbeaten record and their place at the top of
the division slipping away to their hosts.

TEAM: Stourport 4th XI.
OPPOSITION: Kings Heath 2nd XI.
VENUE: Stourport Astro Pitches.
HALF TIME: 2-0.
FULL TIME SCORE: 5-0.
STOURPORT SCORERS: Teri Baron (5).
GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
Stourport ladies 4th XI bounced back to winning ways with ad
vengeance, after the previous weeks disappointing draw, two goals in
the first half, and three in the second being enough to finish off the
challenge from their visitors, to The Kingsway. The home side finally
running out 5-0 victors over Kings Heath 2nd XI.
The passing and movement of the home side was irresistible but it was
their short corners that provided the sucker punch in this match, and
on all five occasions the punch was delivered by Captain Teri Baron.
The first arrived in the opening ten minutes, and was followed before
the twenty minute mark, by a second and the only goal of the five not
to have been scored from a short. The visitors were by no means out of
this match but it was Stourport who always looked the more dangerous,
but were unable to add any further score before half time.
The re start saw the home side continue where they'd left off, with
two quick goals both clinically dispatched into the corner of the goal,
despite the fourth looking as though it had been touched in by Caroline
Wilson on the post, it was Baron, who unsurprisingly was voted player
of the match by her teammates, that had dispatched both shots. However
if you were thinking that Kings Heath were no longer involved in this
match you'd be mistaken. The visitors continued as they had done
throughout to make in roads into the Stourport half making enough of an
impression to ensure that the home defence was unable to completely
relax. But, a fifth Stourport goal duly followed, again delivered from
the stick of Baron and again from a short corner, against a Kings Heath
defence who by this stage must've been quaking every time they conceded
a short corner. But to their credit the visitors never let their heads
drop and at one stage forced a number of short corners of their own, in
quick succession, but the home side stung by the way they'd dropped two
points right at the death the previous week were in no mood to concede
any goals this week.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE MATCH
A brace from Allan Moss helped Stourport men's 7th XI to secure a 3-2
victory over their visitors Lodge Park, in the Fathom league last
weekend.
The home side took the lead against a fit looking Lodge Park through a
penalty flick which was converted by Moss, but the visitors hit back
with two goals against the run of play to leave Stourport trailing at
the break.
The home side fighting back in the second half pulled themselves level
through a goal by their player of the match, John Yates who was playing

Stourport's lead which they carried through to the final whistle but
not before their goalkeeper Tom Netson had made some fine saves to keep
